When you got everything you need, begin your brick outdoor fireplace DIY with laying out the blocks to form a pedestal. Fill the blocks in with the pieces of a foam board, so that you don’t have to waste cement on that. Also, install some vertical foam stripes in the outer part of the base, so that the mortar won’t spill out.  Then fill the top parts of the blocks and space between them with the cement solution.
